Out of Gamut Studios is a creative practice that thrives at the intersection of art, and technology. Founded by an artist with deep roots in photography, printmaking, design, and motion, the studio brings precision and play together, offering a full spectrum of creative services that remain just slightly off-axis.

In color theory, “out of gamut” refers to a color that cannot be reproduced within the standard spectrum. At our studio, it’s a philosophy. We aim for what's outside the bounds. That means combining traditional techniques with emerging technologies, and honoring creative instincts that don't always fit inside the lines. We embrace what lives beyond the expected; outside the bounds of conventional tools, methods, or aesthetics.

Out of Gamut Studios was founded by Cotton Miller, a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and designer with a background in fine art, printmaking, motion graphics, and digital media. With over 30 years of experience spanning commercial production, experimental media, and creative education, his work sits at the crossroads of analog craft and cutting-edge technology. Out of Gamut Studios was conceptualized as a single source for a variety of creative services. Born and raised amid the vibrant energy of Houston, Texas, Cotton is the vision behind Out of Gamut Studios, a creative haven that seamlessly intertwines traditional and contemporary artistic processes. Cotton's journey began with a passion for capturing the essence of life through a lens, eventually evolving into a multifaceted enterprise that transcends the boundaries of conventional artistic mediums. When not creating for clients, Cotton teaches workshops, develops creative tools, and experiments with hybrid processes involving AI and alternative printing.
